Help

Simple steps for the moments when your phone, Mac, cable, or backup folder needs attention.

Will Chicklee work on my Mac?

Yes. Chicklee is being built for modern Macs, including both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.

It is not available yet, but when Chicklee is released, the Mac App Store listing will show the exact macOS requirements before you download.

Which Android phones are supported?

Chicklee is being designed for ordinary Android phones that can run the Android helper app and share selected files.

Exact minimum Android version requirements will be confirmed after testing.

Do I need a special cable?

If nothing appears, try another cable. Some cables are made only for charging.

Android may also ask what to do with the USB connection. Choose File Transfer if you see that message.

What can Chicklee back up?

Chicklee is built for the files people usually need from their Android phone: photos, videos, music, downloads, documents, and folders they choose.

It is not a full device backup-and-restore tool. It helps you bring your own content home to your Mac in clear folders.

Is Chicklee an Android file manager?

No. Chicklee is designed as a guided backup flow for the content you choose: photos, videos, music, downloads, documents, and folders.

It is not meant for browsing your phone like a drive, copying private app data, restoring a whole phone, or managing advanced Android settings.

Why can't Chicklee see everything?

Modern Android protects the private parts of your phone for good reasons. Chicklee is built around the content Android makes available for you to choose and save: photos, videos, music, downloads, documents, and other shared files.

That keeps the experience focused on what most people actually need: bringing their own content home to the Mac without pretending to be a full device clone or advanced Android management tool.

Does Chicklee delete files from my phone?

No. Chicklee copies the files you choose to your Mac. After you confirm your files are safely on your Mac, you can decide what to remove from your phone.

Chicklee is not a substitute for your own backup system.

Support reports are optional

If something goes wrong, Chicklee can create a small support report to help us understand the problem.

It does not include your files, passwords, Apple ID, Google account password, Wi-Fi password, or pairing number. You can review the report before sending it.

Purchases and refunds

Chicklee purchases are handled through the Apple App Store or Google Play.

If you have trouble, contact us first and we'll try to help. If a refund is needed, we'll point you to the correct store process.

Feedback

Feedback helps improve Chicklee. If you send us suggestions, feature ideas, bug reports, or other feedback, you allow us to use that feedback to improve Chicklee without treating it as confidential or owing compensation.

My phone does not appear

This is a common Android-to-Mac snag. Your devices are being careful, not broken. You did not do anything wrong.

  • Make sure your phone is unlocked.
  • Open Chicklee on both devices.
  • If you are using a cable, try another cable. Some cables are made only for charging.
  • If available, try connecting over Wi-Fi.
Where did my files go?

By default, Chicklee saves each phone in its own named folder, with each backup in a dated folder.

What if two files have the same name?

Chicklee avoids replacing files silently. If two different files have the same name, Chicklee keeps both safely.

Can I back up more than one phone?

Yes. Chicklee can be used with more than one Android phone. Each phone can have its own name and backup folder.

For clarity and safety, Chicklee connects to one phone at a time.
